Trying out the WordPress iPhone app

I found this app a while ago. I'm starting to build out more and more sites making use of the WordPress platform. I thought it was time to give the iPhone app an official whirl. My wife and I are hanging out at the Denny's in New Philadelphia waiting on our fortifications.

Code Work: Randomized Gift Exchange Assignments

This is a piece of code I've been meaning to write for a long time. I've finally found some time to put it together.

Each Christmas, our nucleus adult family members exchanges gifts. One might consider names on pieces of paper drawn out of a hat to randomly pick who gets who, but how green and practical is that when we have all these lazy computers sitting around? Also picking names out of a hat requires those adults to be in the same room at the same time for an entire 2-5 minutes.

While the following might look like a bunch of names that I just wrote down for this blog post, it isn't. When your web browser loads this page, it runs through sets of instructions to randomly assign gifters to giftees. The "Reassign" button re-runs the assignments.

To see the randomization in action, either re-load your browser or click the "Reassign" button. Please note that repeated button quick-clicking can crash your browser... I know, it shouldn't crash, but I've spent way more time on this than I should.

Ahh Leah with a Cowbell

Ok, a buddy of mine from work pointed me at a website that will add some cowbell to a tune. You can also add Christopher Walken quotes to it too. I think this site is going to be the next eBay.

I think it sounds pretty good!
